What countries are supported? (answer)
Basically any country supported by the Google Maps API geocoder (inc. USA and Canada). New countries are added all the time. There is also support for the UK but this is limited to postcodes.
I cannot import my store locations file - why? (answer)
It is not the right file type or does not contain a "Name" and "Address" column.
I cannot import my logo or map icon - why? (answer)
It is either too large or not a supported format.
Why won't it recognise my store address? (answer)
The geocoder cannot interpret it correctly. Check out the geocoding tips.
Can I import Microsoft Access databases? (answer)
No. You'll need to export your database into Excel first.
What browsers are supported? (answer)
Internet Explorer 5.5+ and Firefox 1.0+. Browsers supported by Google Maps (e.g. Safari on the Mac) should also work.
Can I create more than one store locator? (answer)
Yes - simply create a new store locator account (new subscription will be required).
How does blipstar™ make money as there are no adverts? (answer)
Users pay a small subscription fee for us to host their store locations.
Is blipstar™ a Web 2.0 service? (answer)
Yes.I think so ;-)
I try and import data but the pop-up blocker kicks in - why? (answer)
You have your pop-up blocker on the strictest setting - therefore blipstar can't open any windows.
You're British yet the geocoding support for the UK is limited - why? (answer)
The Google Maps geocoder does not support the UK currently due to licensing issues. Hopefully this will change soon.
